Vilnius, the first part of the present follow-up.

After two days of visiting Riga, the next point of the trip was Vilnius. Bus brought us there around noon. We got off near the Panorama Mall, which is not close to the center, but near our Host. We were unable to buy tickets anywhere near, but there was possibility to do this on bus or trolleybus, but keep in mind that there are different tickets for each means of transport.

After great meal, our host took us to the Rasos Cemetery. It is a kind of equivalent Powązki cemetery in Warsaw. In addition to very important for us mausoleum of heart Marshal Piłsudski and his mother, there are large number of graves of historically deserved people for the Poles, Lithuanians and Belarusian.

We went down the street Bernardinu, which led us to the statue of the Duke Gediminas, grandfather of Władysław Jagiełło. He transferred the capital of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania from Trakai to Vilnius in the first half of the fourteenth century. Right behind him is the Chapel of St. Casimir, where is grave of King of Republic of Poland And Lithuania Alexander Jagiełło. The chapel is part of Archdiocese Basilica of St. Stanislaus and St. Ladislaus.

Useful informations:

Prices in Lithuania are very similar to Polish, so it's not expensive. Unlike in Riga, often you can not speak with people in English, a lot more people speak Russian and Polish.

The bus stops are in the network map, which helps in orientation, but on buses or trolleybuses info about where we are, is only on long-term ticket punchers.

Polish zloty are easily convertible into Lithuanian Lit, also in the city is a lot of ATMs, so it is easier to get cash from them, and also almost everywhere we can pay by credit card.
