Not planned trip

I’m writing it sitting on board of Condor's Boeing 757, that departed from greek island Rhodes. Why it’s so unusual? Because we had tickets from Athens to Memmingen airport. And now according to our plans we should be driving our car to home.

Unfortunately it went wrong - Ryanair changed our departure time from 16 to 9 am. We realized it, about 8 in the morning, being 2 hours driving from airport.

Why we didn't have seen it in emails? - we receive too much spam from them, and we just missed it.

And why we missed it during online check in? Routine - next, next, documents numbers, download and ignore…

So in the morning we went crazy - what we supposed to do now? We are 2000 km from home, and tomorrow we should go to work. We jumped into Internet and we managed to find tickets home - boarding time similar, but direction completely different - we flight back with 2 hours stop on Rhodes. Price I will keep to myself, but it hurts…

Finally, it gave us a lot of nervous and lost time - tomorrow I need to go back to Memmingen - our car still awaits us there…

Additionally, small information - only 6kg is allowed for hand luggage in Economy tariff in Condor airline! We found it on our ticket after making reservation - and both our luggages had a little bit more that 8kg. We wanted to buy registered luggage in this case - but bad luck again - it was too late - its possible up to 8 hours before flight…

Luckily staff told us that it's not a problem on this flight, and later we found, that on this airport there are no weights or tools to check luggage sizes.

Lesson learned - ALWAYS check your flight details from time to time before it, and check what's written during checking in - this will save you from loads of not needed stress!
